Archer. Trained in maintaining maximum distance, the Archer is very deadly. Armed with several types of snaring abilities and deadly shots, the Archer is more than capable of holding their own in any situation.
The Archer is a continuation of the Fighter Job. It focuses on skills using the Longbow and other important skills from the Fighter Job. The very high P.Atk and high MovSpd coupled with the range of a bow make the Archer a very powerful DD and/or puller.
The Archer has extremely high Vitality for a Hunter. With the Spiracle of Vitality self-buff active, the Archer's Vitality exceeds those of all Warrior classes except the Champion. Unlike the Shadow Hunter , the Archer does not have evasive capabilities or threat reducing skills, but rather uses it's Vitality, self heals and snares to stand and fight.

Notable skills [ ]
Steel Cage - Locks the Archer in place and continuously fires 10 volleys of arrows over a wide area around the target. Since Epic 7.3, this skill has the highest combined damage of all Archer/Marksman skills and it's cool down timer is based on it's level (30s @ lvl 1, 20s @ lvl 10, 10s @ lvl 20). This skill has a very high MP cost and will quickly drain your MP due to it's low cool-down.
Spiracle Shock Shot - Consumes 1 Spiracle to instantly damage, stun and knockback a single enemy. Also applies 100% threat. Highly useful for PvP due to it's instant cast time coupled with the longbow's range.
Heat Shot - An archers primary damage skill, it is the strongest single-target single-hit skill and applies a fire-based DoT. (Be aware that Heat Shot's fire DoT will break freezes from Archer Traps and Freezing arrow). It has the lowest cool-down timer of the Fighter/Archer skills (20s @ lvl 1, 11s @ lvl 20, 5s @ lvl 30).
Double Shot – Shoots two arrows simultaneously without reloading. This skill has a relatively low cool-down timer (30s @ lvl 1, 22s @ lvl 5, 17s @ lvl 9 ) and is the most powerful single-target multi-hit skill. It also gains a 3rd shot at lvl 4 and a 4th shot at lvl 8.
Fire Pillar Shot – Shoots an arrow that explodes into a pillar of fire, causing heavy single-hit damage to the target as well as nearby enemies. High MP cost but low cool-down time.
Resonance Shockwave – Consumes 2 spiracles to shoot an arrow that stuns the target and enemies around it. All targets suffer heavy damage. Usefull for saving people in DPs. It has a low MP cost but has a long cool-down (3min @ lvl 1, 2min 45s @ lvl 5, 2min 34 sec @ lvl 9).
Snare of Corrosion – Sets a trap that causes physical damage to enemies within range and applies a de-buff on enemy p.def and p.atk. A tank will love you for this. It has a 10s cool-down, so this trap can be spammed. Beware however that the snare damage will aggro the mobs who set them off unless aggro has previously been established.
Icicle Snare – Sets a trap that freezes all nearby enemies for 10 seconds. It has a 15s cool-down which can be reduced with skill cards. M.Def is lowered however P.Def is increased based on the skill level (keep it at lvl 1). Use this skill after Snare of Corrosion when in DP's to greatly reduce the damage taken by the tank. This skill is also great when used between back to back lvl 20 Steel Cage volleys because freeze duration and Steel Cage cool-down are both 10s.
Penetrating Shot – Shoots an arrow dealing critical damage while piercing enemies in a straight line.
Vision of Prey – Reveals stealth targets within a limited distance for a short duration.
Recommended Pets [ ]
Harpy - Useful unity for PVE (Attack Speed). Longest attack range of any pet. Able to use bows and Hunter armor. (also best belt pet for archer [lv 90 increases Dext and Atk. Spd. by 12%])
Blue Pixie - Ranged normal attacks and great healing power. (Less range than a Harpy)
Red Pixie - Ranged normal attacks with ranged matk attack skills. useless unity for archers, but good DD abilities and helpful for PVP.
Kentauros - Best patk belt pet for archer's (Patk/Str) Great unity for farming/DP-ing (+ 230 patk @ lvl 95) Melee attacks make it unwise to use when field farming. (The strength component no longer adds patk to ranged bow users in e7)
