Overview[]

Pretty much everything you needed to know about chipping you learned on Trainee Island right?

Chipping refers to the use of the Luna Chip skill (which consumes Luna Chips) on a target to give the target a debuff that increases physical and magical damage done to that target.

Nuts & Bolts[]

The duration of effect for Luna chips depends on the +skill card the chipper has equipped; the base time is 10 seconds. Using the skill on a mob that is already chipped will reset the effect countdown.

You exchange lak for Luna Chips at any lak trader in town.

  • You use the level 1 of the skill to effectively chip mobs up to level 20 and then the chance of them failing increases.
  • You use the level 2 of the skill to effectively chip mobs up to level 50 and then the chance of them failing increases.
  • You use the level 3 of the skill to effectively chip mobs up to level 80 and then the chance of them failing increases, etc.

Even a failed chip casting generates aggro, although the aggro value is slightly higher than the general lowest value. For example, if a red named mob aggro's a party member just by being too close, it is possible to chip the mob to take aggro off that player (true even if the skill fails, in which case, the lowest skill level is effective).

Avoid casting a chip too soon after another one has been cast. Avoid having the mob not chipped. Within your party, agree upon who will do the chipping.

Donate your chips to the designated chipper. Don't expect other party members to supply chips while you free-load.
