The sole revenue earning aspect of this otherwise free game. Players may use real world currency to purchase the G-Potato currency (a.k.a. gpots) using a credit card, PayPal or prepaid cards made available in certain retail stores in the U.S.A. from May 2008.
Armed with gpot you access the Cash Shop via the Item Shop button in your Alt+I Inventory window.
Purchasing cashing shop items and then selling them for rupee at the Auction House or an in-game shop is the fastest way to increase your in-game wealth. Some cash shop users find it addictive and spend more than they initially planned.
An item described as CS-only or a "Cash Shop only item" is one that cannot be found via a mob drop or at an NPC shop. CS-only items may still be bought and sold at the AH or in-game player shops and of course they may be traded.
