The Soldier deals large amounts of damage in quick, powerful strikes. When there is an absence of a tank in a group, Soldiers can step into this role and hold their own.
The Soldier is the evolution of the Holy Warrior that is more focused on dealing damage than defense and tanking (Knight ).

Soldiers can act as a DD or as a main/second/back-up/replacement tank in a party due to their division between tanking and DD-ing, and the skill set they get as a Holy Warrior. Soldiers can also solo well because of their balance between high P.Def and DD-ing potential.
Excels in burst damage (high damage output in a short amount of time).
Ranged spells that utilize the Soldier's P.Atk for high damage..

Cannot take as much damage as a Knight and is limited mostly to short-range attacks and debuffs.
Better suited to tanking one-on-one, as opposed to multiple tanking like Knights.
Ranged spells can be delayed when attacked. Can be difficult to use if acting as a tank in a DP.

Judgement Buster : Ranged Attack based on P.Atk. that also lands a Stun.
Divine Flash : Ranged Attack based on P.Atk. that lands a 10 second Blind, leaving most monsters without any way to attack.
Divine Crash : Much like Shield Charge, but performed with any Weapon but doesn't stun
Wild Stream: AoE attack that deals large damage to enemies and casts a DoT over 11 seconds.

Being one of the more versatile classes in the game, Soldier takes advantage of Warrior and Hunter costumes. Usually the warrior costume is preferred, but the hunter costume is used when Movement Speed is more necessary than P. Def.

There can be many times a Soldier will use a range of damage-dealing weapons; however, occasionally a Soldier will use a more tank oriented weapon such as a mace and shield. It is useful for Soldiers to have a set of tanking weapons in case they have to act as a dungeon party tank.
